ARA-290 (also known as Cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from the helix B domain of erythropoietin (EPO). Unlike native erythropoietin, ARA-290 selectively targets the innate repair receptor (IRR) without stimulating erythropoiesis or increasing red blood cell production.
